This is the third blog I've started. The other 2 were suppposed to be about my children and how I manage to stay sane. I think I wrote 5 posts between the 2 of them, and then started to forget to write. SO. Here I am again. What makes you think I won't fail again? Oh, I know. Because this blog is all about accountability. It's about success, not failure. It's about becoming a better and healthier person and athlete. This is MY blog about becoming and training to be a triathlete. My posts will mainly focus on what I've been doing in order to prepare for my first triathlon here in Philadelphia, PA. I've already signed up, so I have no excuses to quit! I joined a gym about 10 minutes away from my house, so I'll recap on what I've been doing since then.
I joined LA Fitness on December 4th for $388 for the entire year. They had a pool, which allows me to swim, TONS of group classes, great cardio machines, and of course, the weight and strength training equipment.
I currently swim twice a week, around 1500m, and run/walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I just started taking a spin class, and I'll continue to do that at least once a week, if not twice. So, that's that. I also do P90X with my husband as much as I can during the week. I usually have to wait until my boys go down at night before I can begin a workout. I know 6 days a week is a bit much, but as long as I try and focus on legs, back, chest, and abs, I'll be OK. Oh, and yoga, and plyometrics too. Whew. That is alot. I am starting to ramble, and since I really want my posts to be somewhat organized, I think I'll leave this one as is.
As the weeks go on, I'll share my workouts, my ups and downs, and since I know I won't be able to help it, my life with my 2 1/2 year old identical twin boys and my almost 11 month old son. I am SUPER MOM and will totally wear the label with pride.
I hope you enjoy following my journey to becoming a triathlete!
Best,
Christi
